Suggested fare includes Salisbury steak or puttanesca. "Competition / Event: 2008 Wine Press Northwest - 1

Award: OutstandingReview: " The estate Roza Hills Vineyard provides the fruit for this youthful blend Cab Sauv (52%) and Merlot (48%) that's easy to like. An inviting nose of gentle oak, raspberries, cordial cherries and seriveberries leads to a subtle richness on the palate that grows. It is juicy blackberries throughout, joined by some black tea and warm tannins. There's some youthfulness to this that should be terrific with sirloin or an oily fish such as salmon. On the straight-forward palate are more black cherries, a bit of alfalfa, soft tannins and a Hershey’s Kiss in the finish. "Competition / Event: 2008 Wine Press Northwest - 1

Award: OutstandingAward: Best BuyReview: " BEST BUY-OUTSTANDING-Silver Lake 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Shareholders should be pleased with the work of winemaker Bill Ammons. Complexity makes this easy to talk about and enjoy, starting with a fruit-filled nose of cranberries, plums and blackberries joined by black tea, milk chocolate and a savory gamy category. Rich black fruit, namely blackberries and serviceberry, is joined by manuka honey notes in the midpalate before the tannins step in. Enjoy with a charred T-bone. Award: Best BuyRating: 87Review: " Apple and pear, cracker and citrus, pineapple and a hint of residual sugar combine in a soundly made, all-purpose chardonnay. The alcohol is just under 13% and the wine was not put through malolactic fermentation, leaving it crisp and fresh. "Competition / Event: 2010 Wine Enthusiast - 2

Award: Best BuyReview: " Estate grapes from Roza Hills Vineyard are the focus, and there's plenty of fruit involved, starting with an orchard-based nose of apples and Asian Pears, along with hints of citrus, lychee and bubble gum. The Flavors again center on orchard fruit with some light apple and citrus in the middle of some nice viscosity that's washed away clean by the acidity and drying bitterness at the end. "Competition / Event: 2005 Wine Press Northwest - 4
Award: Best BuyReview: " This deliciously refreshing and inexpensive white from a longtime Woodinville, Wash., winery shows off aromas of apples, herbs and minerals, followed by round flavors of ripe pears. This is a richly structured wine with fruit-driven flavors and just a hint of oak. "Competition / Event: 2005 Wine Press Northwest - 4

Award: Best BuyReview: " BEST BUY-Silver Lake 2005 Chenin Blanc You know that marshmallow orange-flavored candy called Circus Peanuts? If you like those, you should love this release, which also features aromatics of pear, petrol, minerality and rose water. There's a fair bit of residual sugar (2.7%) but it's well-balanced with flavors of oranges, cake with orange frosting and a finish of Schweppes ginger ale. Serve with grilled Chicken. "Competition / Event: 2006 Wine Press Northwest - 1
Award: Best BuyReview: " An indian summer day would be an ideal time to enjoy this nice fruit-forward off-dry white that beams with stone fruit such as Granny Smith apples and peach, lychee nuts, citrus of lime and grapefruit with nutmeg for spice. Late acidity with white pepper, rose hips and peach cobbler to match with light fish, poultry and salads. "Competition / Event: 2005 Wine Press Northwest - 4

Black cherries, blackberries, wild raspberries and blueberries play along with young tannins that scream for a T-bone steak, tri-tips or lamb. "Competition / Event: 2005 Wine Press Northwest - 4

Award: OutstandingReview: " This publicly owned winery has made remarkable comeback, in part because of the combined efforts of consistent fruit and the winemaking of Jon Zimmerman. He turned out a delicious off-dry white that includes Chenin Blanc (17%) and features of bouquet of apricot, honey, lychee, rose water, jasmine and flannel. There’s more apricot and gorgeous tropical tones in the juicy, fat and round palate with some mouth-watering acidity and a finish of Southern-style sweet tea. The residual sugar is high (6.6%), but it’s not a distraction. Suggested food includes Mongolian beef. "Competition / Event: 2008 Wine Press Northwest - 1

Aromas of white frosting caramel bonbon and gooseberry jam follow through on a silky entry to a fruity medium body with honeyed apple and nectarine notes. Finishes with a touch of grass and melon sorbet. A very fruit driven, crowd pleasing style. (tasted on Apr-12-2010) "Competition / Event: 2010 BTI - World Wine Championship - Sauvignon Blanc
